Front porch concrete pads were removed and replaced in the elderly development area. Four (4) concrete parking spaces were added on Cherry Street. Three (3) concrete parking spaces were added to Walnut Street and Seventh Street.

Albion
The 30-year-old natural gas boiler systems and 10-year-old water heaters were replaced in seven (7) out of the eight (8) mechanical rooms with new energy efficient systems. The mechanical rooms were re-worked, re-piped and insulated. Zone valves and transformers were enclosed in wooden box structures for protection in pantry areas. All transformers were replaced in the attics of the zero and one-bedroom apartments.

Aluminum siding and guttering was replaced with vinyl siding and seamless guttering on all buildings in the Albion and West Salem developments.
Installed gutter guards on the new guttering at the Albion and West Salem developments.
Replaced electric lines from the master meter to (PHA owned) two (2) transformers in Albion.

Albion
Family area storage needs for lawnmowers and outdoor items was remedied by the addition of small storage units attached to one end of the apartment building and connecting the breezeways for storage units for the use of the residents of the building.
A new washer and dryer were added to the elderly/disabled laundry room in Albion.
A parking space was added in the parking lot on Cherry Street.
A new property sign was added.
West Salem
A new property sign was added.

Albion
Work done in 2006 at Albion included replacing all old tile flooring and the kitchen countertops in the elderly section, replacing the sub-flooring and tile flooring in the upstairs bathrooms, and replacing kitchen countertops in the family section.
West Salem
Work done in 2006 at West Salem includes replacing countertops in the elderly section. Replacing the sub-flooring and tile flooring in the upstairs bathrooms, and replacing kitchen countertops in the family section.

Albion
Safety concerns were addressed by adding two (2) new security lights to existing electric service poles in the family section, and by adding two (2) new security lights to existing electric service poles in the elderly section. In addition, old lampposts were removed and five (5) lampposts were added in the elderly section. These handsome new posts are taller and the bulbs are brighter, and they keep the entire section very well lit at night. All new lighting fixtures are the dusk-to-dawn type with automatic sensors.
West Salem
Storage problems were alleviated at West Salem by constructing a single storage building for elderly residents located centrally in the elderly area and containing twelve (12) individual storage units. Family area storage needs for lawnmowers and outdoor items was remedied by the addition of small storage units attached to each duplex apartment building for the use of the residents of the building.

Aging roofs on all eleven (11) apartment buildings and the office building were torn off and replaced with new roofing.
